Work Highlights
Advised a Thailand’s leading power group in (i) the demerger of the project company, which owns two solar power plants in Tay Ninh with total capacity of 420 MW, one of the largest solar power project in Southeast Asia, and (ii) obtaining a USD160 million loan from ADB, LEAP and other offshore lenders to finance its solar power project.
Advised China Power in the acquisition of a number of wind farm projects in Gia Lai Province and Kontum Province;
Advised the international lenders in the USD1.7 billion financing of Vung Ang 2 BOT Power Project. This deal has been recognised as Project Finance Deal of the Year at the ALB SE Law Awards 2022.
Advised international lessors and financial institutions in various leasing, financing, sale and leaseback transaction of aircrafts to Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet, Bamboo Airways and Vietravel Airlines.
Advised Auchan, a French giant retailer, in the sale of its retail business that included 18 supermarkets nationwide, via an auction sale.
Advised Warburg Pincus in entering into a joint venture with Becamex to create the largest for-rent industrial and logistics real estate platform in Vietnam.
Advised a leading investor for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Philippines in a number of acquisitions of water treatment projects in Vietnam.
Advised HSBC in the financing of the Celadon City Township Project in Ho Chi Minh City and Gamuda Land Residential Project in Ha Noi.
Advised Gamuda Land in the buy-out of equity stake in Celadon City Township Project in Ho Chi Minh City from Sacomreal. This deal received an award for the best real estate deal at the Vietnam M&A Forum of the year 2014- 2015.
Advised Vingroup as issuer in the USD100 million international issue of convertible bonds for listing on the Singapore Exchange, with Credit Suisse as underwriter, which is the first issuance of convertible bonds by a Vietnamese company to the international capital markets.
