Policies

  • At VNLaw, we apply an employee first policy. This means that we focus on personal and professional development for our lawyers and staffs. We seek to build long-term relationship with our employees. To achieve this objective, we will try to remove unnecessary obstacles in the workplace so that you perform your works at the highest level. We maintain a culture of transparency and trust where your opinions will be heard and considered. For example, a partner at VNLaw will be required to share office with his/her team so that sharing of knowledge and skills can be done directly in person instead of via telephone or emails. With some limited exceptions, team members working on the same client matter will be able to see timesheets of all other team members on the same matter which will allow better coordination between team members when working on the same matter.

  • We apply a compensation system among our partners and associates so that each lawyer (not just partners) will be rewarded from the firm’s profit for cooperation with each other, for client development and for individual performance. The key performance indexes to measure your contribution is the amount of time and monies that you invest in VNLaw and quality of your work at VNLaw. So our success will be yours.

  • At VNLaw, we aim to work on challenging and complicated legal and transactional issues. The calibre of our target clients and the transactions they bring us will be beneficial for developing your skills and capacity. When you are not working on client matters, we will involve you in interesting research and writing projects to further develop your skills and knowledge. Working at VNLaw, you will have a chance to work with leading lawyers in Vietnam and will learn from them the experiences that few law firms in Vietnam can offer. You will not just have first rate on the job training but also regular training and reviews from our management team.

    1. We invest in technology from hardwares such as dual monitors set up, mechanical key boards, wireless mouses to softwares such as auto numbering, comparison softwares, and matter management softwares.

    2. When we publish an article, we clearly identify the role of each lawyer involved. So if you write an article, you will be the author of that article.

    3. You will not be evaluated based on your “billable” hours. We evaluate you based on the skill set that you develop while working for us.
